Northern Currents - Fall 2004Print This Page

Greetings from the Yukon

The snow line has crept down the mountains that I see from my office. Winter is upon us in the Yukon. The gear has been cleaned and stored from another great season of northern adventure. Already we have many bookings for next summer and planning is full speed ahead.

This will be our 22’nd season of operation. It makes me feel old but the good news is that it has been so much fun. In this issue I tell the story of how it all started.

I am pleased to note that this year nearly 50% of our participants were returning guests. Another 30% more were referred directly by past guests. We take this as a great compliment. My hat is off to the great team of fellow guides with whom I work. Since I am in a nostalgic mood, I have decided to list in this edition all of our guides over the years. Hopefully this will bring back more fond memories.

I wish you and enjoyable and safe winter. Hopefully this edition will fuel your dreams of yet another northern adventure next summer.

Sincerely,

Neil Hartling
outfitter and guide
